Our Long Meadow is available to “wild campers” who are free to pitch anywhere, we do mow a lovely large pitch at the far end of the meadow which has a fire pit and views across acres of fields for complete privacy. For the foreseeable future we will only be accepting campers who book the whole meadow for their exclusive use for which we will continue to charge £25 per night for one tent with a maximum of 2 adults. Dogs are always welcome (max 2 - non aggressive breeds only on a lead at all times please) and we do not charge our canine guests! We are a Quiet Site and "leave us as you find us" is the order of the day as we ask that all guests take away their rubbish as we will no longer be able to recycle for you.
We have found that our meadow works best for single campers or couples, we appreciate that some may wish to bring children (under 16) so please contact us so that we may discuss your requirements and additional charges and should you wish to book the whole meadow for your exclusive use we charge £25 per night. Our meadow is home to barn owls and bats and we also have visiting muntjac deer roaming through on a regular basis. On the other side of the stream live our famous goats Hazel and Willow (see the goat's milk soap page for details!) and by the pond are our rescue ducks (duck and chicken eggs available for purchase, subject to the girls laying plans!
Our meadow currently has no facilities, although we may build a rainwater shower one day. We do however have plenty of fresh running water close at hand. Camp fires and barbeque pits are part of the camping experience and you will find a choice of places available and we can provide bags of additional wood at a small charge.
We encourage people to travel lightly and if you are arriving on foot, or by bike we offer a 10% discount. For those who arrive by car we ask that you leave your car just inside the gates.
